Eligibility
The LEADER Project is intended to be used to increase the sustainability of the rural economy but there are a few other boxes that you will have to tick as well. To access LEADER funding you have to fit into one of the ‘measures’ included in the link below. The list is not exhaustive and is intended for guidance for applicants only.
Minimum grant applications are for £3,500 and are for up to 50% of the total costs of the project. See the link below for some guidance on the measures.

* Due to a temporary injunction, we can no longer accept projects that are marketing/promotional in nature nor fund parts of projects that include these elements (for example we can no longer fund leaflets or websites, there may be other areas we can help in though). If you are concerned please contact the LEADER Project manager who will be happy to give you guidance *
There are also some things that are not eligible. These include, but are not limited to:
- The preparation of the funding application
- Rental charges for property
- Wages
- Costs incurred before the date of the offer letter (any project started before the funding is approved)
- Basic agriculture or horticultural equipment or infrastructure
- Production rights, livestock or plants
- Involvement in the production & processing of fish
- Cost to meet legislative compliance
- Vehicles that could be used for another purpose than that of the project
- Fines
- Interest charges
- Legislative costs
- Planning/BREEAM application costs
- Cost for private housing /refurbishment
- Purchase of land /domains
- Leasing contract cost
- Gifts and donations
- Projects that are not state aid compliant
